I am SaraMago.. I am Italian, Romanist, actually I am living in Italy but I was for one year in England and 6 mouths in Ireland, where I was working for the Special Olympics World Summer Games – Dublin 2003 Organizing Committee.
I found so a great experience to work with people with learning disability (well I didn’t work directly with them, because I was in the Communication Dep. But I still spent some of my free time with them).. that I decide to do something to let people know how much persons with learning disability can give and can do.. especially emotionally. They are so sensitive and respectful, but unfortunately people are not the some with them.
To my doctored I wrote my thesis in Social Psychology titled “Stereotype and Prejudices against people with learning disability” .. well.. I could use your signature as a great example af prejudice and closing mind.
I found your sentence very offensive, superficial, disrespectful for people with learning disability and their families… and really.. not funny at all!
I am very disappointed. I don’t know… probably you wrote it without really deeply think to the meaning of your sentence, and on the feelings caused from your sentence to people that have problems. The painfulness of that people is caused mainly not from their situation .. but from the bad behaviour of close mind people against them.
Jip think about that.. I would like to know your opinion b4 to make a Report of Abuse to the Goal.community administration.
