    Re: Juventus

Juventus are weighing up a move for Middlesbrough's Italian striker Massimo Maccarone, according to reports in the Italian media.

Despite persistent claims from the relegated Italian giant that no more of their stars will be allowed to leave the club, frontmen David Trezeguet and Zlatan Ibrahimovic continue to be linked with moves away from the Stadio Delle Alpi.

Livorno's forward Cristiano Lucarelli has been touted as a possible replacement in Turin, though the Tuscans insist the player is untransferable.

Bianconeri could be ready to offer Igor Tudor and Nicola Legrottaglie as an incentive to convince president Aldo Spinelli, but are considering other options as well.

Chievo's Carvalho de Oliveira Amauri is another man linked to the Old Lady, although he looks set to join Palermo, which is why Maccarone's name has come up.

The 26-year-old Galliate-born marksman has struggled to hold down a regular starting place throughout his time at The Riverside.

Juve are therefore rumoured to be considering signing the player on a season-long loan to help in their bid to win their way back out of Serie B in the coming season.

    Re: Juventus
NEDVED - JUVE SHOULD OK ZLATAN EXIT

Juventus midfielder Pavel Nedved has urged the club to offload unsettled striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic and warned them against forcing him to stay.

The 34-year-old former Czech Republic captain, who has been Ibrahimovic's room-mate during the club's training camp in Pinzolo, defended the Swede, who was absent from a session on Saturday morning.

Nedved, who has committed his own future to the Italian giants despite their demotion to Serie B, understands the desire of Ibrahimovic to join the likes of Gianluca Zambrotta, Fabio Cannavaro and Patrick Vieira in exiting the club.

"I am not going to judge him, just like I didn't judge Zambrotta, Cannavaro and Vieira," Nedved said.

"If he doesn't want to stay here, it is not right trying to keep him."

On Friday afternoon, Ibrahimovic refused to play in a pre-season friendly with La Spezia, a decision which will earn the striker a hefty fine, and on Saturday morning he did not train due to a knee injury.

While the Turin-based club continue to block a move away, Nedved believes it is inevitable the pair will not be playing together in Serie B next season.

He said: "Obviously, I am very sorry not to be able to have a player as strong as he is and who is, in many senses, irreplaceable.

"But you cannot hold onto somebody who doesn't know how to cope without Serie A and the Champions League."

    Re: Juventus
Dias Felipe will swap his Udinese black and white striped shirt for the one of Juventus, it is being suggested on Thursday.

The Brazilian defender has been paired with the Old Lady in recent weeks and a deal is on the verge of being agreed.

It’s understood that Udinese will release the stopper for £4.2m and the co-ownership of two players.

The Stadio Friuli side, who value their defender at just under £7m, have accepted to receive Raffaele Palladino and Andrea Masiello as part of the move.

Felipe is just 22-years-old and was heavily linked with a move to Milan last summer, but no transfer was ever completed.

Juventus have made a move for the player as they look to reconstruct a rearguard which has been devastated by the Calciopoli sales.

Lilian Thuram and Gianluca Zambrotta have joined Barcelona, while Fabio Cannavaro has joined them in Spain with Real Madrid.

Juve also turned to Felipe after they encountered problems in their proposed swoop for Monaco’s Gael Givet.

You can blame that on them getting Deschamps as coach....
Hopefully they keep their youngsters in like Paro, Palladino, etc...
    De Ceglie looks very good

I wonder what the winter transfer market holds for juve...

I hear rumours of Tevez and Mascherano

    Re: Juventus
Juve are like inter .. not as bad though at wasting money on average foreign players ... Boumsong is a prime example ... the guy is the worst defender in serie b .. they could have given that place to a promising italian player, face it all the promoted teams over recent years built italian based squads .. messina palermo and catania are testament to that. Im not saying dont buy foreigners, just dont waste money o overhyped playes like 20 mil for imbrahimovic? 7 mil for toni? i know who id rather have. .. i would have bought tavano or lucarelli ... infact for 20 mil hey could have got both.

    ^^
    Very true my friend...
Juventus a wealth of youth players, their Primavera team is very successful and they could be like roma say and have home grown players doing very well...

I imagine that in a few years when the UEFA home grown players takes more effect Roma will have a big upperhand on many other clubs.

The latest transfer rumours though give some hope for juve and youth developing...
They talk about buying Dessena and Coda (U-21 players)
there's also talk of further promoting Paro, Palladino (espcially since he gave some signs of unhappiness) and De Ceglie
