Well when the dust was settled and Domenech was asked to bring proof, there was no proof. Domenech got a match suspension and everybody tought wow what a sour man. Now Domenech has the opportunity to shup up and coach, and once again he opens his foul mouth accuses Italy of fixing an upcoming match against Scotland for a tie. His exact words were " if anybody knows how to tie it's Italy". Even if so Mr.Domenech there is nothing wrong with a tie. But I'm sure will be going into that game to beat Scotland because remember this Italy is world class team and world class teams play to win. On the flip side of it, he might be passing a message to Italy to beat Scotland so that he can comfortably go through even with a loss to Ukraine. However if Italy will open up, the risk to have Scotland creep up on them with a would spell disaster for the azzuri. So if I'm Roberto Donadoni I would just play it safe, there is too much to lose to just go there and think that we can hammer Scotland. Italy should play for the tie and Ukraine should play to win!

Domenech Idiot or Tactition?  IDIOT! In truth, I think Italy play like they would accept draws, like Italy vs Brazil in the WC - 1994 i think, but I still think Domenech is an IDIOT!  Jus hating cause he hasn't gotten over the WC final, blame Zidane not Italy and Materazzi.

The CL is not the World, but at present, most of the best players in World football play in this competition while a few more are frozen out at clubs who don't qualify like Riquelme, Milito etc. as well as some Americans.  Even the best Asians and Africans play in it.  The Americans, however, are another story - are they among the best players in the World?

The truth is that countries around the world are catching up to Europe in terms of talent and skill etc.  Africans, Asians and Americans display qualities which would get them past teams like Switzerland as the Americans showed, with teh occasional upset against top teams as Senegal did with France. 

Cameroon, Ghana, Nigeria, Ivory coast and one or two others already can beat teams like Italy etc if their managers and players believed it.  Asians are perhaps the furthest behind although they can cause upsets from time to time. 

Therefore, I've said all of that to say that the World Cup is that world tournament which decides who is the best, but as time goes on, Europe will no longer be able to demand a great majority of WC spots, since these teams can rival them and do.

but i would like to correct myself.....i can say that if we are talking about continental best players, i would say that "yes america has the best players in the world....fact is brazil is part of southern american continent"....

and i think it would be fair to want to let all continental football champions to play against each other and whoever wins will be considered as the best football team...
