    Carlos Vela

I'm just curious as there are going a lot of discussions here in Mexico about him and Gio dos Santos, some say they should get their first call-up, some that they're not ready yet..   I don't get La Liga on tv and neither the second div. so I would like to know if someone was able to watch him regularly last year for Salamanca how consistent he has been or how has he played against senior players, and if he is really showing the promise commentarists say he has, I was only able to watch some of his goals and his performance in the in the U-20 champs which didn't tell much as they're all young..

what Mexico needs is a really good striker, which Vela is supposed to be...should he get his opportunity for Mexico already?

Yeah, he isn't.. yet, I hope he just rises up to those expectations...

He got his first call to the mexican senior team too, he may make his debut against Panama

I guess it is just the media hype. Nowadays, almost all the kids with footballing skills are hailed as 'wonder kids'. It is crazy in a way. When a guy is spotted kicking a ball or doing a trick or two, he gets a lot of media attention which I think, is unfair.

i think i saw it too in a column where one of the executives mentioned him as a star for the future.  I believe he's in the youth setup or being acquired into the youth setup or someone advised them to take a look at him.  It was there though.  Plays for Osasuna, on-loan from Arsenal it seems.
