Anelka always ends up starting due to proving his value.  At Bolton, he didn't have the players to back him up per se.  He has never failed at any of his clubs consisting of Madrid, Liverpool, Arsenal, Fenerbache, Bolton.  He has matured as well and settled down to solve his journeying behaviour i think and rejoined a club competing at the top level.  Needless to say he is better than Rooney, so good buy Chelsea, down side is that Drogba is out in the summer.  It would've been great for Drogba to play alondside Anelka as hard as it is for me to admit at Chelsea.b

Who knows, they are not many clubs left for him to fit in to, but these clubs somehow find space in already crowded team for strikers.  Take Inter for example who have 5,6 or 7 strikers alone i think.

Barcelona is a possibility, but we have Eto'o and Henry with Messi, Ronaldinho etc. providing support.  Real Madrid is a serious possibility given their status and seeing he wants to win a Champions League, but his arrival will spell trouble with Robinho, Raul and Ruud likely to start with only Robinho being the vulnerable one.  Milan is a possibility, but they will have to sell one of Gilardino, Inzaghi, Pato and Ronaldo to make room.  Another English club is a waste of time although, yes although, Manchester United could very well use him alongside Rooney, the untouchable, otherwise i would've said alongside Tevez.  This will put Tevez out on the flanks so to speak and Saha on the bread line.  After that, there's the very very real possibility of Juventus left.  Smaller clubs include Valencia, Athletico Madrid, Sevilla, Lyon and Werder Bremen.  If I were to stick my head out, I'd have to say Juventus as a big club, but Sevilla, Valencia, Athletico Madrid and Barcelona are his best options with Barcelona being a real outsider.

Milan need a striker and he probaly go there knowing first team football would be a huge possibility and also the rumors of mourinho going to AC milan would probaly make AC his prefered choice.

But Drogba has said he wants to play alongside Eto'o and that would probaly give barca an upperhand but they already have some good strikers.

    Re: CHELSEA F.C. OFFICIAL THREAD

It is perhaps true that Milan need a striker given their slim options, but I really would not advise Ac Milan to fire Ancelotti to take up Mourinho given Ancelotti's successes.  For me, and this is purely my principle opinion, it would be a bit of a gamble to hire Mourinho who may or may not be more successful than Ancelotti who has won two Champions League trophies in his tenure.  Less we forget, barring the scandal, Milan has always finished in the top 4 and is still the most successful team in the champions league over the last 5 years including when they were eliminated.

It wouldn't be wise for Barcelona to have Drogba, because of a few simple reasons:

    1.     He is 30 years old and demands high wages.

    2.     He is African, don't jump out of your seats about racism, so BOTH he & Eto'o will leave Barcelona very short on strikers.

    3.     He WILL disrupt any attempt at harmony in the dressing room, because he will not accept playing on the bench for too long, while we know that he will have to be a substitute perhaps half the time with Eto'o, Henry, Krkic and himself all vying for one spot, since Barcelona plays with one striker.   Even if they use two, the dilema is further increased having to drop one of Messi, Henry, Eto'o, Ronaldinho, Krkic and possibly another inevitable midfield reinforcement who will also come in the summer.  This would not optimise the players you have at your disposal if anyone of them are on the bench for too long.

Nonetheless, Milan is touch and go and will depend on their position among the elite clubs in Europe and in Italy by the end of the season.  If Pato and Ronaldo manage to score even15 goals each, Milan will look for a younger and lesser profile player than Drogba.  What's more, they may try their hand at Essien first to bolster their midfield as well as offload Gilardino and purchase another Italian striker first.

My money on where Drogba will be at the end of the season is perhaps Inter Milan, they buy everybody and i mean everybody.  They have to have  the most players on their pay roll inall of europe.

Hey, it's good to see Gregory joining the party in the Chelsea forum. BTW, the catalans had a fantastic outing here in Glasglow last night, I must say. Probably, both of us can have another go, if they are paired together in the next round.

What a match, that would be!!!

Hey... I think i've chosen the right time to make a come back here..

We are through to Moscow and I'm in the party mood, of late.

I still remember the taunts and jaunts i got here from the other fellas, who swore that we would never step into the elite of the european finalists. But hey, we are there now, and I'm sure we are gonna nick it in the end as well!

i hope you take this. I'd rather Chelski catch United than United catching us. Roman would have paid off the ref, just like he did against liver in the semis
