With or without Zidane, France still is a formidable opponent. and I think France haves some advantages over Italy - speed; Thierry Henry, Ribery, and some others.. On the other hand, the Italian squad lacks pace; Andrea Pirlo, Luca Toni, Cannavaro, Del Piero, etc, etc.. Does Italy haves a good fast forward on the current squad??

But Italy is a World Cup winner, so anyone can win between these two.

I thought Zidane made France, didn't know that France actually had reputable players

I don't now if I ever said that (Zidane made France), if I did I must've been very careless when I said it. However I do remember that I've replied with "France was a great team; Makelele, Patrick Vieira, Thierry Henry, Liliam Thuram, Marcel Desailly, Le Blanc, David Trezeguet, etc, etc.." countless times. You must've misinterpretated something.

And France haves Ribery, one of the best players in the world, mix that with Henry, Vieira, and some other prospects such as Benzema and Nasri.. and you have a reputable team.

Cassano perhaps? Quagliarella? Toni has strength not that quick though.

Cassano is a good fast forward, but is he available?? and is the manager considering him??

Luca Toni is a great player, but he isn't fast.. he needs a fast partner.

I have not seen Quagliarella playing, and to be honest I don't even now who he is. But if he's good and fast, he could prove effective along-side Toni.

i think managers are perhaps too scared to pick cassano cause he has a real bad attitude problem. but i think he is starting to change cause it aint doin his national team aspirations any good.
