well that's not what i meant, but he has great difficulties competing in leagues and it has shown season after season.  He drops points again and again for no real reason and it has nothing to do with the players.  He made a big deal for those players he has like sissoko and now they're bench players.  If he can't inspire his players on a weekly basis then hire a suitable assistant manager otherwise he himself will be out of work, because there comes a time when competing in the CL will get boring to fans when United, Chelsea and Arsenal are cruising along in the league and doing the same in the CL too

what great difficulty, he won la liga twice with valencia, uefa cup, champions league and FA cup for liverpool, and got them to another final. like it or not Benitez's record shows he can win trophies. Sissoko was good the first couple of seasons but this season he started costing us games so the bench is about right for him, for now. Every manager is guilty of getting flops at some point or another and benitez is no exception- success needs stability and long term thinking. Stability is key and we've lacked that ever since the new owners (new thinking, new attitude etc) took over. Nobody in the media picked on the fact the 10 year working relationship between rafa and his assistant has suddenly ended without warning, adding to the fact that Rafa cant buy the players he wants because of price and having to always settle for his third or fourth choice throughout his time at anfield.

 

Id say he's done an outstanding job since he's some given those factors.

rumours are still persisting that DIC (the dubai consortium) are still interested in buying our club. i say do it already and get rid of these dumb yanks.

By the way, it is interesting that Rafa's assistant bears part of the blame, because it was said that Frank Rijkaard is nothing without Henk Ten Cate (former assistant).  Anyhow, make similar excuses for Frank Rijkaard, it will add to his repertoire.

i have never been a supporter of benitez. he brings in too many spanish players especially when he first arrived. im not sayin their bad, but a spanish team in the epl...its, well it'll be hard for the team to adapt. in saying that, i'll support benitez if we got the dubai consortium and see who he buys and if we start performing well. if not he has to go, he cant have any excuses either cause he'll get the funds he requires. he may blow all the funds on villa and cant upgrade the rest of the squad. so he has to be careful.

soo, lets just see what haps, the chop of benitez first or the new owners. either way, we may end up seeing the special one on livos bench next season.

i cant believe you're saying that- if anything you should be grateful Benitez is with us. He put  liverpool back on the map after 21 years of not winning the CL. We're not able to compete with chelsea and Man u and he still managed to make us a force in europe. He needs more time to win EPL, now we have quality players in Torres, Gerrard, Mascherano, Babel, Carra and Reina. Skrtl and Agger are potential inclusions to the list. What we will need is 4 more players with quality and we can then mount a serious challenge for the Premiership. Benitez is definitely the best tactician around and his players know that, not many players or managers can say no to a club like Real Madrid, Benitez showed his loyalty time and again. He should be given more time.

it can be argued that winning La Liga frm the traditional REAL BARCA race is 1 heck of an achievement. Whatever you think, Benitez work is nothing short of outstanding in the 4 years he's been here.

Hey to all of you having red liverpool in your viens then the red blood. here is my post. Well today after going through official liverpool forum site... i saw a little optimism in people about league also. i thought of checking myself on predictor (i used bbc.co.uk) predictor and i too was mor then overjoyed... if we can use some realistic results... i came to following table position Liverpool 83 (46) Man United 80 (56) Chealse 80 (47) Arsenal 80 (43) so there might be happy days a head...just be paitient and hope for the best
