Dont bring politics into this! I know too much on that front and comparing the problems of who gets world footballing acolades to world politics is just not morally justifiable. Football should bring us happiness through peices of magic on the pitch, and bring people together over these few enjoyable and almost honest truthes we as humans have left! These awards are political yes, and are put their by politians who are all looking out for their own interests. If these truley were honest awards then the fans would have a major say in the out come, voting! This though wouldnt work as it would come down to poluairity, its all currupt so lets just appriciated all these wonderful players.
