A shake up in Spain - for better or for worse?
Sevilla's Juande Ramos has moved to Tottenham and Jiminez takes over - my initial thoughts are that I fear Jiminez more than Juande Ramos. I remember him as a player and his coaching pedigree gets high marks from me, especially with the experience from the youth level. I think Sevilla will be better, not sure if they will achieve more, off without Juande Ramos given Jiminez has taken over.
Valencia's Quique Sánchez Flores admitted that he had mixed emotions after being sacked by Valencia as he was sad to be going, but looking forward to being free of the stress. I think, despite what he says, that he was the worse coach of the recent Valencia era out of Hector Cuper, Rafael Benitez and himself. He lacked resilience and tactical intelligence, so this caught up with him at a club like Valencia who expects to be able to compete with Barcelona and Real Madrid, let alone Sevilla. We should see who the new coach is soon, and I'm sure results will get better from now on.
Who is the next coach to be fired this season, because there will be questions asked?
Candidates that can be favourites are: Getafe, Deportivo La Coruna, Real Zaragoza, Osasuna and maybe Recreativo Huelva.
What do you guys think?
JOGO BONITA!
