brendan.. u know what really pisses me off?

Morientes is BACK in in form !  what the *** was he doing in Anfield.. why couldnt he play like he did in spain and france?

anyway.. i agree.. Louis is a winner... scored some of the most important goals for us in the last couple of years..

funny thing is that he's a winger.. whos now playing as a striker...

he can do it all .. but with Pennant and Gonzalez up on the wings.. with fresh young legs... Louis should play more in the middle... behind Crouch or Kuyt.

of coarse there is a down side of garcia, at times he tries too many flicks and tricks during the game which is frustrating, and when he misses easy opportunities then scores an unbelivable goal eg missed a sitter vs chelsea in fa semi then the next half he scored a brilliant volley does not make sense lol

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Liverpool F.C.

yes he's inconsistant but can create goals from nothing...

so basically it is down to if liverpool can get goals from its strikers/riise/gerrard/alonso/etc. if so than its better to not start luis garcia and opt for a more classical formation with gonzales on the left, if not, then do start garcia because he can turn out to be the x factor, he's a creator, something your rely on when things arent going your way.

i agree with Frank.. louis is turning out to be the X factor in big important games.. personally, id have him as a supersub.. play him on the second half.. with his speed and trickery, defenders with have a very hard time keeping their eye on him... especially if he's fresh off the bench.

    RAFA: PREMIERSHIP IS PRIORITY NOW

Rafa Benitez insists the Premiership is now his number one priority despite the battle with PSV to top Champions League Group C.

Liverpool have already secured their place in the last 16 with two group games left following victory over Bordeaux.

However, they face competition from PSV for top spot, which in theory would ensure an easier draw.

"We have two more games and we can fight to finish first but we know we will be in the last 16 and we can maybe use different players," Benitez told a press conference ahead of Saturday's league clash with Reading.

"We will try to win against PSV and try to win the group, but now we know the Premiership is the priority."

The Liverpool boss also warned his players not to be complacent going into Saturday's game, despite three straight victories.

He said: "For me Reading are a good team, they have a good manager. I've seen games before we played them in the Carling Cup and they know what to do. I was impressed with their team.

"People think that maybe it is an easy game against Reading. We need to be careful because it can be a difficult game, but we have confidence."

    FANS ON ROTATION

The Reds made it three wins out of three against Bordeaux on Tuesday after Rafa named an unchanged side for the first time in 100 games.

John Arne Riise admitted afterwards that the decision made the whole dressing room smile – but what do you guys think?

definatly a relief to see rafa putting out the same side, and look what happened 6 goals in 2 games, maybe he wont change the lineup for the next 100 games lol

well its normal to play who is on form atm, but at the same time you expect your players to want to win playing time by performing good. now how do you do that if you constantly change your lineup?? a player will feel his efforts are going to waste. if you reward good play by a stable place in the squad, youll get more dedication out of your players and at the same time your starting XI will start to gel...

cause the premierleague is a much faster league than the spanish and french league. it is harder and takes longer to adapt to.

BOSS ORDERS JERMAINE TO SPILL THE BEANS
Rafa Benitez has asked summer signing Jermaine Pennant to spill the beans on former club Birmingham City as the Reds prepare to visit St Andrew's on Wednesday.
The winger, who hopes to feature against his old club in the Carling Cup, warned his manager to expect a physical game.

Rafa said: "I was asking him about how they will play and which players, things that we know but he knows especially.

"He said it would be a very difficult game because they will press us, play a physical game and be good in the air."

Meanwhile, the Spaniard believes Pennant is proving himself to be one of the best wingers in the top flight.

"I don't know a lot of right-wingers better than Pennant in the Premiership," said Rafa.

"He can cross with a player close to him and the crosses are really good. He can cross with one touch after receiving the ball. He is a player with a lot of quality.

"With Kuyt and with Crouch he is a good signing because he gives us another kind of possibility."

Re: BOSS ORDERS JERMAINE TO SPILL THE BEANS
very disappointing once again away from home its a real problem rafa needs to adress. maybe 4-4-2 was'nt the right formation... teams have had alot of success against arsenal playing 4-5-1. there is one positive from this match though liverpool have now played at all of the most difficult grounds (emerites, old trafford, stamford bridge, the rebok and goodison)

Re: BOSS ORDERS JERMAINE TO SPILL THE BEANS

Gerrard was a non factor and that can't happen as often as it does at Liverpool.  That was not a typical performance from Liverpool and I mean that by saying they had no fight in them and Arsenal bossed them all over the pitch.  I really thought this was the match of the weekend.  Rafa has quite a bit of work ahead of him.

I'd waited long enough. I fucking hit him hard. The ball was there (I think). Take that, you ***. And don't ever stand over me again sneering about fake injuries.”
    Roy Keane
