Over the years there's been a few miracles in football known as wonder goals or simply as goal of the century, like Maradona's goal against England in the 1986 World Cup. Now with Messi's wonder goal, people are debating wich goal is better Maradona's or Messi's. Both are very similar and involved 13'teen touches.

 The top three wonder goals in my opinion are: (1'rst)Messi, (2'nd)Maradona and (3'rd)R.Baggio.

The Messi goal was a work of art but I have to mention Michael Owen against Argentina because it was a volatile match in the World Cup and he was only 17 years old.I'm not saying it was better it's just one of my favorite goals.

Maradona's goal is the better one because he did it in the world cup where there is more presure and he did it against the best players of england which have always been good. Messi's goal is just as good and he is only 19 with a little bit more confidence he has potential to be the best player to play the game.

we are privliged to experience these two goals which will be played on tv for many years to come.

clearly maradona's goal was more important, more difficult as he was under more pressure from the first controversial goal he scored with his hand, and it was performed against higher class opposition (international football).

I would suggest to look up  the top 50 goals ever. Theres a video and its amazing. Obviously it doesn't have Messi's goal, but it has some great ones. Like Owen vs Argentina, Zaltan, Roberto Carlos, Seedolf etc.

I would choose maradona over messi. Both are extremely great goals but under the circumstances of a world cup I would choose Maradona.

If maradona is the saviour of mankind why was he so sinfull and isnt muslim? lol Seriously, Maradona i rate above all (almost) but he's just a football player. Dont associate footie and politics mate. When he scored that goal it was a proud moment for Argentina, but whatever you say, i think his hand of god goal, made him a legend on another scale, as a historic character in WC history, just like zidane and his lob penalty and headbutt in 2006.
